Pig Keeping Courses
Ever fancied learning to keep Traditional and Rare breed pigs of your own? We meet many people who love the idea of having their own pigs and their own home grown, additive free meat. AND it'll cost you nothing if you get it right!!
"A great day out"
A typical pig keeping course will begin with meeting up 9.30 am.
We start with daily routine tasks: This usually involves feeding and water checking. As we go there are usually plenty of questions and it's not long before we are ready for a cup of coffee.
We head to the local pub for coffee and run through a structured Powerpoint presentation with plenty of information from one of our Adult Education lecturers.
Lunch is straight from the pubs menu... Most guests opt for the "Tiger" ale and Pork sausages on a bed of creamy mash, served in a giant Yorkshire pudding topped with onion gravy... A top meal.
After lunch we continue with the session, finishing about four.
Many guests like to stay for the afternoon feeding before heading off.
Details
The days price including lunch is £95 per person.
