We enjoy keeping Saddleback (and sometimes other breeds of) pigs.
We also know that the only way we preserve the breed is to sell the fabulous succulent meat.
Half pigs The easiest (and cheapest) way to buy top quality traditional Rare breed pork is by half pigs.
There are four prime cuts which can be butchered to your requirements:
Loin... A fabulous cut which most customers have as chops. Can also be Boned and rolled as succulent joints.
Leg... The classic Sunday roast joint. Often boned and rolled for easy carving. Many customers prefer the bone left in for a slightly richer flavour.
Belly... A beautifully fatted and layered cut which can be used as joints or strips for a true piece of old Endland.
Shoulder... Many customers find this the sweetest cut. Probably best boned and rolled due to the high number of bones in this part.
Half pigs are priced as £3.00 per lb.
Any parts can be cured as bacon or made into sausage at additional cost.

Sausages We supply a pub;a farm shop; two care homes and two farmers markets (so far) with our rare breed sausages.
Sausages are sold loose on the market stalls so can be bagged in any number.
